This is the reality of our word, and most scientists with a conscious are still basing reality on materialism alone, however, the spiritual lessons in this can not be separated out. Whether it's the developers, giant corporate agrobusiness, government agencies, it doesn't matter, when it comes to money and power and control, the ones at the top, have all soul'd out (especially the ones who are not seen pulling the strings). TRUE conservation would threaten their "PROGRESS" which is more akin to destruction via compartmentalism, consolidation and reductionism. Doesn't mean anyone should give up, it's not black and white, but when things like this happen, EXPECT IT! It's become the rule, not the exception, if it ever was different.
