Lisa,
Here are two sites that may be of interest to you:
Bug Guide www.bugguide.net
Discover Life www.discoverlife.org

Discover life has a global mapper, and Bug Guide is a great resource for photos, and getting help with ID's based on pics.

I would like to see a global web site where scientists and amateurs can enter their observations of bees, locations, bodies found, GPS coordinates, upload images and maybe send physical findings to. The site should track, pin-point and tag blogs from global contributors. This would give a great graphic, real-time picture of the plight of the pollinators. Does anyone know of anything like this, or would anyone be interested in creating this web site with me?
