The Columbia Slough Watershed Council reviewed hundreds of documents related to the Slough, and found that information on macroinvertebrates in the watershed was scarce. Xerces staff have initiated efforts with the Columbia Slough to develop appropriate protocols and strategies for macroinvertebrate monitoring and will work with the Council to sample a dozen sites in 2005.
