Experience:

1996-2001

 

- Independent contractor acting alone and in joint ventures with other taxonomists to supply macroinvertebrate sorting, enumeration, taxonomic identification and vouchering for various clients including the State of Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ), the State of Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ), Clatsop County Oregon, Snohomish County Washington, and Salmonweb.

- Analyzed macroinvertebrate data supplied by BlueStem Inc. for 15 stream sites sampled in 1995-1996 by Montana State DEQ. Results were presented in 2 reports.

1990-1996

 

Idaho State Bureau of Laboratories, Boise, Idaho; Macroinvertebrate Taxonomist.

Analyzed over 2500 macroinvertebrate samples provided by the Idaho DEQ. Samples were from stream and river studies throughout the state of Idaho. A major part of these samples were from the Beneficial Use Reconnaissance Project (BURP) study done yearly as of 1993.

Performed QA/QC on macroinvertebrate voucher samples returned by contractors by examining 10% of the samples for accuracy and completeness.

Trained and supervised Bureau of Labs personnel in sorting, vouchering and identification procedures.
