Farm Bill Pollinator Conservation Planner and NRCS Partner Biologist

Under the direction of the Xerces Society Senior Pollinator Conservation Specialist (California Region), and in collaboration with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) California state and area office staff, the Farm Bill Pollinator Conservation Planner will provide conservation planning, technical support and training focused on pollinators, monarch butterflies, other beneficial insects, and wildlife to farmers and NRCS field office conservation planners in California’s Central Valley. During the first several months, this position will support conservation planning in field offices close to Madera and in the San Joaquin Valley. Over time, the incumbent will provide support to conservation planners throughout southern California, with a focus on the southern Central Valley and the Central Coast regions.
