Laura supports communities working to reduce pesticide use and protect native pollinators. She has been with the Xerces Society since 2014, first working in membership. Before Xerces, she worked for a variety of environmental groups on issues ranging from instream water rights to green building. Laura holds a bachelor's degree in environmental studies and has a certificate in nonprofit management from Southern Oregon University (the first Bee Campus affiliate!). She is on the board of the North Clackamas Watersheds Council in Milwaukie, Oregon. In her free time, she enjoys woodworking, sewing and rockhounding.
